Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) corporate affairs executive director, Abdul Halem Mat Som, said in a statement Monday that the interruptions were due to works to upgrade the water supply system in the areas concerned.
He said there were 29 ponds which had been put under the manual cleaning programme this year, including three ponds this month.
Abdul Halem said the disruption would affect the whole area in Taman Taynton, Taman Mutiara, Taman Bukit Hijau and Taman Supreme Jaya on Dec 27 from noon to midnight, due to cleaning work at the Taman Taynton
View inlet pond.
The work at the water retention pond in Taman Midah on Dec 28 will cause water supply to the residential areas be stopped, also from noon until midnight.
He said information on the disruptions would be available from the toll-free line of PUSPEL customer service centre at 1-800-88-5252, or SMS to 39222 or Syabas website at http://www.syabas.com.my/ and www.twitter.com/puspel plus "facebook" by typing "puspel" or "puspel syabas".
