For keeping pests away from your home, try adding some antiseptic into your floor cleaner. You won’t see cockroaches crawling around on your floor after that. Another alternative is to place some fresh pandan leaves in the area where you don’t want the roaches to go to.
Mosquitoes are another pesky nuisance, especially if you’re one of their favorite meals like I am. Try keeping some mosquito repellent plants around, such as ageratum or marigolds. Mosquitoes don’t like their scent. Another tip is to spray Listerine around the edges of your doors and windows where mosquitoes have entry. To keep ants away, just draw a chalk line where you don’t want them to cross and they won’t. My mother personally recommends spraying insecticide around the gates and fences of your property to prevent stray dogs and cats from entering your compound and then leaving little “surprise packages” in your garden.
